Procurement Lead New Product Introduction, Sourcing, Contracting – TAC (Closed)

Company Technical Airborne Components Industries (TAC) designs and manufactures rods for the aerospace industry. TAC is recognized as the reference source for high quality, custom engineered control, structural and system rods. As one of the leading suppliers in this industry segment TAC today supplies products for almost every commercial aircraft, regional and business jet, helicopter, military and space program. The company, based in Milmort (Liège), employs about 200 people. Since September 2021, TAC is par t of Latécoère Group. Latécoère is a Tier 1 active in all segments of the aeronautics industry (commercial, regional, business and military aircraft) in Aerostructures (fuselage sections and doors) and Interconnection Systems (wiring, electrical furniture and on-board equipment). Latécoère Group employs about 4000 people in 13 different countries Role purpose As Procurement Lead NPI, sourcing and contracting, you ensure sourcing for new products developed by company. You will also be responsible for sourcing & contracting for defined group of product families. You define Procurement Strategy for sourced material & services considering quality, price, lead-time, supply chain risks. In this role, you actively pursue continuous optimization of costs and risks within supply chain. You report to the Director Procurement Key responsibilities NPI (New Introduction Product) Project Management

Purchasing Project Leadership with all stakeholders ensuring that project deliverables and progress are compliant with project plan, milestones/stage-gates are secured, risks are mitigated, and insight in progress of project for all stakeholders is provided

When needed, issue & endure follow-up purchase orders in frame of NPI projects

Communicate with and regularly inform development teams

Sourcing & Supplier Selection

Analyze internal requests required to start sourcing process (stakeholder/supplier early involvement)

Manage sourcing process: Supplier Search, RFx process (RFI, RFP, RFQ,…)

Supplier Qualification in close collaboration with Quality Team

Short Listing based on objective criteria (Quality, Technical Requirements, TCO, Logistics, Risk)

Commercial and contractual negotiations, while respecting customer/program requirements and budget

Manage contract amendments and contract changes

Communicate, train and support Purchasing Specialists who ensure daily operations with Supply base (ordering, order follow-up, discrepancy handling)

Procurement Product Family Management

Develop & execute procurement strategy for defined group of product families

Define & execute roadmap to lower TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) for allocated product families

Ensure technical and commercial understanding of product family

You will actively search for new suppliers on market while maintaining optimal supplier base

Maintain good contacts with internal & external stakeholders

Continuously monitor trends with allocated product families

Supplier Management

Develop supplier intimacy within partnership mindset

Continuously Monitor Supplier’s Performance: OTQ, OTD, financial performance to budget

Monitor trend in Supplier’s capabilities, investments, technological evolution, financial situation

Supporting Purchasing Specialists towards Supplier

Supplier Contract Management

Understand and ensure proper execution of contractual terms (contract duration, payment terms, pricing,…)

Handle contract amendments, changes

Communicate with stakeholders of impact of any changes to contracts

Continuously evaluate and pro-actively anticipate on contract expiration, phase-in/phase-out processes

Budgeting & Monitoring

Establish yearly procurement budget for allocated product families

Establish and communicate monthly savings results

Actively collaborate with Director Procuremen to achive company & department objectives

Risk Management

Proactively identify risks and develop associated risk mitigation plans for managed supply base

Perform, in collaboration with supplier quality team, regular capacity & performance assessments

Profile

Master or bachelor degree in technical field

At least 3-5 years experience as Technical Procurement Category Manager in international environment

Excellent technical expertise & knowledge in mechanical field

Strong project & stakeholders management skills

Analytical, hands-on, proactive, result oriented & commercial savvy

Good interpersonal, communication & negotiating skills

Good knowledge of ERP systems

APICS or CIPS certificate is a plus

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

You are fluent in English and French

Open to travel max. 20 % in Europe

Sector experience is an asset

English is a must; Dutch and/or French is preferable, German is an advantage
